Backlog 2026 - April Part 5: Metro 2033 Redux and Ghostrunner

Metro 2033 Redux - PC (Epic) Retired 28th April 2026 Metro is, again, another game that I claimed for free on Epic games. I remember playing a demo of Metro 2033 a long time ago and found it interesting, but I never did buy the game. I have heard many positives about the Metro franchise and when I saw this game was available for free I decided to claim it whilst I could. I am not a huge First Person Shooter fan, but I thought I would give the Metro games a try and for a time I was enjoying myself with Metro 2033 Redux - although, I never felt it was as good as something such as Half Life 2. I especially enjoyed the early parts of chapter 3 as there was some interesting otherworldly type of drama. But, sadly at a certain point of the game the whole first person shooter feeling started to creep in and I really was no longer clicking with the experience.
