Resident Evil: Requiem - PS5 Completed 8th March 2026 Playing the 9th mainline entry in the series feels quite strange yet it is a very enjoyable game. RE 9 is essentially split into two halves where you play as two different characters and their stories both intertwine. In the first half of the game you play as a new character called Grace. Her gameplay feels very much like the 7th entry which went back to the survival horror roots that the franchise was founded on, but unlike RE 7 which was solely in first person, this time you have the option to play in either 3rd or 1st person. The game recommends to play Grace's story in first person, so that is how I played the game. Overall I really enjoyed playing the campaign of Grace as I do prefer the survival aspect over the more action orientated games in the RE series.
